For more than 10 years, Joe ministered to the faithful congregation at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Henderson, NC. Joe had an unwavering belief that everyone deserves to know the unconditional Love of Jesus Christ. Gladys, Kendall, Connie, Joseph, Tammy, and Janice, What a wonderful life Joe lived. From my earliest memory, his was a life who put Christ first and his trust in Jesus for it all. I remember fondly his coming to live with us when I was 8 years old during transition and how God put Gladys in his life in His perfect timing. On this Father's Day, Joseph, Tammy, Janice, Kendall, and Connie, rest assured he is very proud of each of you. He was my father's cousin, but was more like a brother to him. He fulfilled a rich heritage of loving and following Jesus, generations deep in our family. As I shed some tears in writing this, I find myself also rejoicing that Joe has been set free from his earthly body and is spending his first Father's Day with his heavenly Father.
