I knew Neal for 23 years through work. He was a great guy, an excellent project manager, and everyone liked him. I think he even had a hand in saving my job early in my career, as IBM was cutting resources. Neal always knew the latest rumor, and he was generally correct. He stayed in touch even after his retirement, he will surely be missed by many. Thanks for everything Neal! Bryan Poer

Neal was my friend from before high school. I always enjoyed having our short talks on the phone (usually over an hour). We shared our love for Alabama Football and would have been discussing tonights game vs LSU probably today. I'll have that conversation with him anyway. I will miss him. Richard Jacobus

Neal was a friend. He was a great ham radio operator and used his hobby to positively influence others and encourage them to advance in the art. His call sign was N4HAF and his legacy will be remembered and cherished by hundreds of others who have spoken to Neal on the air and worked with him in the local radio clubs.

Jonathan, while this is a difficult chapter in your life, pause and reflect how fortunate you were to have him in your life! You will carry many of his traits within you, his ideals, his temperature and his love of living! I hope you find consolation in your faith and that, with time, this dark chapter will lead to a more brighter understanding of the influence your father had on you as a man!
