Obituary For Nancy Olive

Our hearts are saddened by the loss of our loving sister and devoted aunt, Nancy Olive. She was the second daughter of the late Lucile and Philip Olive. Nancy is survived by her dedicated sisters, Mary Jane, Betsy and Martha and caring nieces, Marla and Mary Leah and husband, Rodney as well as special friends, Donnie, Tammy and Tyler Pearce. She was predeceased by her fiance, Bill Bass.

Nancy attended Carolina and always enjoyed cheering for her Tar Heels. She also loved fishing, Nascar, history, old cars, Atlanta Braves and the Washington Redskins. The picturesque waterfront of Beaufort, NC was her favorite place. Nancy, a gifted writer with a brilliant mind, also expressed her creative side through arts and crafts, Her joyful spirit made others feel better. She shaped the lives of many people with her kindness, generosity and tenacity for listening. During the journey, Nancy inspired us all as she mobilized her strength of courage with grace and dignity. With unwavering perseverance and bravery, she was our ultimate heroine. We will miss her dearly.

The family extends its gratitude to all who have provided care for Nancy. Special thanks to the staff of Duke Raleigh Hospital, Heartland Home Healthcare (Joy, Kristina, Kerry and Demetra) and Dr. Taylor Goodnough.
