Remembering Uncle Mauri's twinkle in his eye, brilliant smile and contagious laugh. Uncle Mauri visited our home in 2007 while attending the PSU/Notre Dame football game. Sue, Trudi and families stopped by for a brunch. Uncle Mauri spent the time discussing what all of his many great nieces and great nephews were doing, offering his sage advice, trying to convince my daughter to attend the Notre Dame Law School, and recruiting my son to look into the football program. He said at Beaver Stadium, he was the lone little green guy in a sea of blue and white. His passion for Notre Dame and it's football program was second only to his love of family. Dear Jackie and family I was so sorry to read in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette the passing of Mauri. I remember all the good times we had with you and your family in Monroeville, Chip being Todds friend and how many trips Mauri made taking me and Todd to the ER. I remember telling Mauri we should put a blue light on his car, I wish I had your address to make this more personal. All I can do now is to offer you and your family my deepest condolences. You all have my sympathy on the loss of Maurice. He was an exemplary father. As the teacher of Maureen and Chip at Ramsey school he always came for the parent teacher conferences and even pitched a game of kickball at recess. Dear Jackie and Family: My sincerest sympathy to you. Mauri was the most pleasant person I knew in Walsh Hall senior year at ND!!! We lived across the hall from each other on the 4th Floor; and he often played in our Hearts games. Loved his always smiling face and laugh. Enjoyed seeing him at Reunions. He was a real ND Guy!! I remember Uncle Mauri at those extended family dinners around Grandma and Grandpa Sardi's dining room table. He was so happy to see us all together as we ate and talked for hours, drinking home-made wine and sharing. He was proud of his family and often offered advice and words of wisdom. Hearty laughter was a-plenty and those memories have been solid and cherished for over 50 years. He has ascended to a better place and continues to look over us all,

I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Mauri. One of my favorites is in Grandma and Grandpa's kitchen. They were making sausage and Uncle Mauri and my Dad were laughing at something that I can't even remember but they laughed so much alike and my Dad was wiping tears from his eyes. It is so vivid in my mind still. Their laughs were so contagious. Uncle Mauri had a beautiful smile that came from his beautiful heart. I bet my Dad and grandparents are wiping tears this week but happy ones to have Uncle Mauri with them and having everlasting peace with our Lord. God bless you! All my love, Trudi

Mauri was a good friend and the most decent person I ever met in business. He was an exemplary husband, father and grandfather, and will always be in our memory. Our hearts go out to Jackie and family. Mauri will be missed, but his impact on others for good will last forever. Don and Rosemarie Noone
