Mary Edith Yates of Raleigh, NC, passed into the presence of Our Lord and Savior on July 18, 2012 at the age of 86 following a prolonged illness. She was born July 27, 1925 in Orange City, Florida living most of her life in Vero Beach, Florida; moving to Raleigh five years ago.

Her love was evident for God through good and tough times. At Forest Park Baptist Church in Vero Beach she was a Sunday school teacher, mission organization leader, choir member, and generally seen praising God in worship. She is a retired CNA from the Indian River County Health Department.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ruth Pisani of Raleigh; sister, Judy Kiesow, Columbus, IN; brother Jerry (Mary) Anderson of Monona, WI; two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Stokley and Helen (Ray) Johnson of Monticello, Florida.

She is predeceased by her son, Robert B. Yates, Jr.
