On Sunday, May 20, Marie Patricia Fields, age 96, joined her husband Claude Emerson Fields in the presence of our Lord and Savior to live life free and whole eternally.

Funeral service will be held 11:00am Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Raleigh Vineyard Church on Litchford Road. Internment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.

Marie was born and raised in Marion, Ohio and lived for many years in St. Petersburg and Ocala Florida. She lived for the past 14 years in Raleigh NC. During World War II she worked in an aircraft plant in Ohio building planes for the war. Later, she assembled microelectronic parts for satellites at a Honeywell facility in Florida.

Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose gentle and quiet spirit will be fondly remembered. Her quick wit and sense of humor were especially endearing to those who knew and loved her.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ann Orthner (Fields) of Raleigh and Betty Jean Clark (Fields) of Macon, Georgia as well as two sons-in-law, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildre
