Marianne Weathers Reynolds celebrated her homecoming to the Lord Jesus on July 7, 2021.

Marianne was a devoted Christian woman whose kindness and love was evident to all. Marianne’s greatest joy was time spent with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, Grand’mom and great Grand’mom.

She was born March 3, 1930, to the late Maurice Rufus and Annie Wilson Weathers in Shelby, NC, where she grew up. She graduated from Presbyterian School of Nursing, Charlotte. She married William D. Reynolds of Shelby in 1952. Marianne and Bill enjoyed 55 years of life together, raising 3 children. Settling in Raleigh in 1959, she was an active member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and volunteered at Biblical Wellness Ministry, Pregnancy Lifecare Center, and Christian Library International as she enjoyed sharing her faith with others.

Marianne was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Reynolds, and brothers and sister, Bill, Zeb, Bud and Norma Weathers.

She will be dearly missed by son, William D. Reynolds, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Raleigh, NC; daughters, Anne R. Owens and her husband, Rev. Gary of Gibsonville, NC; and Patricia R. Schmitt and her husband, Thomas of Lakemont, GA; seven grandchildren, Elise Reynolds Norton (Andrew), William Reynolds (Kathryn), Jennifer Owens Rimmer (Chris), Sarah Owens West (Cameron), Matthew Schmitt (Jessica), Rachel Schmitt McConnell (Jason) and Joey Schmitt (Alaina); seven great-grandchildren, Andrew McConnell, Ayden Clark, Gavin West, Eliana McConnell, Owen Clark, Zoe West, Parker Norton, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Presbyterian Church in America, 6520 Ray Road, Raleigh, on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive relatives and friends before and after the service. A private burial with the family will be at Raleigh Memorial Park.
