Margaret Hughes, 98, previously of Norwalk, CT passed away on November 27, 2021. She was the daughter of Mike Verbonick and Agnes Iwok and proceeded in death by eight siblings. Margaret was born on February 17, 1923 in Hartford, Ct. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Hughes and Jayne (Tim) Martin of Raleigh, NC.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Tim (Rubia) Martin of Raleigh, Stephany (Bradley) Kreger of Cary and three great grand children Ethan, Andrew and Audrey.

After retiring from the Norwalk school system Marge was an active volunteer at St. Thomas parish, the Norwalk Hospital and Norwalk Soup Kitchen. In 2015 she relocated to Raleigh to be closer to family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615.
