Obituary For Marcia Lynn Moeller

Marcia Lynn Moeller, 58, passed away May 22, 2014, following a battle with Cancer. She died peacefully at home where she was comforted by her family and friends.

She was born in Youngstown, the daughter of Edward W. and Maxine C. Moeller.

Marcia grew up in Canfield with her parents and brother, Mark, where she graduated with honors at Canfield High School. A cheerleader at Canfield, Marcia went on to attend Miami University in Oxford, where she earned a BA degree in 1978. Following college, Marcia settled in the Chicago area and started a career in the pharmaceutical industry. Later, she relocated to Raleigh, where she first worked with Mallinckrodt and later with Glaxo, working in the clinical trials department in Research Triangle Park, N.C. She took an early retirement from the company in 2005 but continued to use her knowledge and experience in a consulting role.

Marcia loved animals and especially her dogs, Casey and Morgan. Out of her love of animals, she would do volunteer work for the SPCA and utilized her expertise in stress management to help calm abused and mistreated animals through Healing Touch for Animals. She gave freely of her time and her desire to help others carried over into many charitable organizations, including volunteer work at the Flower Shuttle for Raleigh Moravian Church.

In her spare time, Marcia became interested in the game of golf. She utilized her skills in Heart Math to improve her golf game and to help others realize their golf potential. She would take trips to Kiawah Island, S.C., one of her favorite places, to enjoy the golf, nature and beaches. Marcia attended Journeys Life Impact Community and was active in the North Raleigh Optimist Club.

She was an accomplished cook and loved to entertain family and friends with her culinary skills. The family would like to send a special thank you to the many of Marcia's close friends who cared for her as she battled her illness and especially her special friend and companion, Pete McIntyre of Raleigh. Also, a special thank you to Hospice of Wake County.

Marcia is survived by her mother and father, Maxine C. Moeller and Edward W. Moeller of Morrisville, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Mark E. Moeller and Kathy G. Moeller of Raleigh; nephew Drew Moeller of Greenville, N.C.; and numerous cousins.

A small private memorial service for family and close friends will be held at the Renaissance Funeral Home in Raleigh.

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing someone in death is very painful, but we can turn to the Bible for comfort. The Bible tells us at Revelation 21:4 that death will no longer be. Jehovah God will completely put an end to death. John 5:28,29 shows that the dead will be resurrected. Also Psalm 37:9-11;29 tells us that we will be able to live in paradise right here on earth. I hope that these scriptures can be of comfort to all in grief.

Hi. I believe I met Marcia once at the SPCA of Wake County and she was a good friend of my friend. I believe there is a mistake. There is no ASPCA except the HQ's in NYC. Our local SPCA in Raleigh is a non-profit where Marcia gave her healing touch to animals. I am very happy to read that donations can be made...but not the ASPCA . Thank You~ SPCA Volunteer

I was saddened by the news of Marcia's death. We were in high school together, and my memories of her were of a happy, pretty, energetic young cheerleader who brightened Canfield High School. I didn't know Marcia very well, but as a younger classmate, she had a positive, uplifting effect on myself, and surely my classmates, as well. My mom and dad, Merl and Jean Hoyle, were good friends with the Moeller family. Looking at Marcia's picture, I see her mother's face. Mr.and Mrs. Moeller and Mark, I was devastated to hear about Marcia's passing. She was my best friend since 5th grade throughout high school and then our lives took different paths. We recently reconnected and it was just so short lived. I had many hearty laughs with Marcia and the memories of our cheerleading days brings a smile to my face.She was a kind sincere soul. I was a High School classmate of Marcia's and have always remembered her as a beautiful, vibrant, caring, intelligent and witty young woman. In a world/hologram with varying levels of healing taking place, false beliefs being transformed into truth, and beings waking up to what's imbalanced and what's ready to be brought into balance, I feel that being kind to one another can make all of the difference in our experience. Holding a space for kindness to be present with every thought we think, every word we speak, every action we take, holds tremendous power. To help us find our common ground. To open eyes. To awaken hearts. To create space for healing. To me, kindness is being compassionate. Kindness is acceptance of one another, wherever we are on the healing journey. Kindness is being gentle and loving with one another as we walk through challenges, while also refusing to buy into the false beliefs of victimhood that one may be in the process of healing. I had the gift of knowing a beautiful being, Marcia Moeller, who transitioned several years ago, and while she was embodied, she was inspired to create a space for kindness to flourish called Random Acts of Kindness. I know she was not alone in this idea--many others have been inspired to do so as well. She would gather a group of people who were so inclined to spread kindness through the world periodically, and they would share their love in various "Kindness Projects." Simple things, such as buying a cup of coffee for the person behind you in line. Leaving anonymous notes at local places of businesses that had inspiring quotes and words. I remember one particular project that I participated in where we did a "Kindness Drive-Thru". With an abundance of fresh beautiful flowers, we drove through fast food places, banks, etc. and presented the person at the window with fresh flowers, blessings, and a smile. I tell you, the look on these beings' faces was precious and priceless when they received this small gesture of kindness from our heart. And the joy that we received
