Obituary For Luis Correa
Luis Correa, born on Monday of December 18th 1934. In Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, Luis grew up with his Mother Segunda Correa, and his sister, Isabel (Annie). Favorite pastimes growing up were baseball and cycle riding. As young boy Luis inspired to play ball and was accomplished second baseman and his bicycle was one of his prideful possessions.
Luis attended St Augustine Star Middle School in Bayamon and excelled in math and enjoyed accounting courses.
At the age of 20 Luis joined the armed forces on Oct. 12th 1955, and served in the United States Army, traveling to Germany and France. After serving 2 years Luis received an Honorable Discharge with a Good Conduct Medal. Shortly after leaving the armed forces Luis moved to the New York to live with his cousins making the Bronx his home.
On a cool autumn day in 1959 Luis' life would never be the same, as he met Isabel Ribot . Luis would take the sacred vows to love and honer on November 11 1960. The happily married couple moved to Brooklyn New York to start their wonderful life together. On August 23rd 1960 they were blessed with a son, Walter.
Luis wanting the best for his family moved them to Queens in 1970. Having a his own home and providing for his family was his number one priority. Luis loved to have family over for the holidays, home and family brought him great joy.
But there was a void in Luis life. By the Grace of God Luis found a home here in San Lucas. Here he nurtured his spirituality and dedicated himself to service the Lord. In his many years serving through the fellowship of San Lucas and he found peace and happiness. A new glow came over Luis, it shined within as he wanted to share the good word with all.
On Nov, 11 2010 Luis and Isabel celebrated 50 Golden years of marriage together in Love and Honer.
Luis the Son, Brother, Husband , Father has come full circle has found peace in the Lord Jesus. He has left footprints in our heart forever. On October 22 2011 Luis Correa is with our Lord. We will miss him.
