Obituary For Linda Pearl Rivenbark Cahoon

Mrs. Linda Pearl Rivenbark Cahoon, 77, of Raleigh, NC died Monday, January 17, 2022, after long term complications from a stroke and eventual kidney failure.

Linda was born in Duplin County on May 8, 1944, daughter of the late Pearlie Chester and Margie Hamilton Rivenbark. Linda married Ernest Cahoon on March 19, 1967. She was a retired Administrative Assistant with North Carolina Cooperative Extension at NC State University. Linda loved her family. She was the best Granny to her three grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and any activity with her grandkids. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Cahoon; and her brother, Albert Rivenbark. She is survived by her son, Stephen (Chandra) Cahoon of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Caleb, Ayden, and Megan Cahoon; sister, Alice Rivenbark (Bill) Meador of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Sandra Rivenbark; as well as, her nieces and nephews, cousins, and many other relatives near and far.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615. The family will receive family and friends following the service. *Masks will be required throughout the service and visitation regardless of vaccination status. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Linda Cahoon.

    Linda, I just found out. That's pathetic and and excuse. I'm sorry Steven and Chandra for this terrible loss to you both and my response. We both came friends in the pool gym class and it took us a will to click but when we did we... we really did!! I learned a lot from my Taurean Friend! Her sense of humor her wit, also told I want to just like her when I grew up,so I better start growing. I will miss you and and always love n remember you❣💛💯
