Lee Foland, age 70, passed away peacefully at home in Raleigh, North Carolina, on October 8, 2024. Born on February 26, 1954, in Long Beach, California, Lee enjoyed fishing in the mountains and windsurfing along the coast of Southern California. He spent most of his life in and around Long Beach, California, where he met and married his wife and raised his kids to enjoy and appreciate nature as he did.

In 2021, Lee made the move to Raleigh, where he fell in love with the trees and wildlife and enjoyed hiking the local trails. A private and kind man, he found joy in winning at the casino and cherished every moment spent with his family. Above all, Lee was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. He took immense pride in his grandchildren, Joey and Avery, and always looked forward to the next time he got to be with them.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Pam Foland; his daughters, Lacy Foland and Holly Riordan (husband, Dan); his brother, Dale Foland (wife, Cheryl); his sister, Ann Lindemann; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neil and Bernice Foland.

A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse, an organization whose work he appreciated.

Lee will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warmth, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family will forever remain in their hearts.
