I was a one of Larry's mischievous/misfit track and field runners in high school. We were responsible for many of his heartburn moments, and probably gave him his early gray hair. Looking back it amazed me and a lot of other people, how he was able to get a rag-tag group of misfits that could actually be groomed into track and field state champions. However, I remember a time when we were goofing off at practice and pissed Larry off. He kept us after practice and we were running 330's until we puked and then he ran us again, puked and again and again and again. Get this, all with the blessing of all our parents! Don't let me get started on the night before he got married at his bachelor party we threw for him. I thought JoAnn was going to kill us. Love you. CT Gregoire

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Larry Jinks. For over 10 years, we were friends and colleagues sharing a passion in a hobby we both loved. He was a mentor and expert to many people, and together we planned, worked, and celebrated numerous activities to educate, encourage, and enlighten others with that interest. Larry was an amazing guy with so much knowledge and passion for education and fish. He was funny and kind and he will be so sorely missed by so many of us. I learned of his passing on the way to take my family to the State aquarium. We made a small donation in his honor and said some words at the marshes where we had hunted killifish together.
