Words cannot express the loss of such a wonderful stepfather. Larry was always caring and loving to my family and we're going to miss him greatly!

Larry was a wonderful Step Father to our family. We loved him very much and he will be greatly missed. We enjoyed him as part of our family he was a great man. What I loved the most was teaching him our Cajun culture he really embraced it and loved the food!!! I also loved having long conversations with him about history and just his wide knowledge of everything. He was a very interesting man. I could probably right a book but all I can say is he was loved. Mark & Robin.

I knew about Larry even before I met him. My regard for him as a scholar preceded my meeting with him at Virginia Tech. Larry was a good man, a gentleman, a scholar, hard working, and sincere. He listened more than he talked. He was genuinely interested in me and asked more about me than he talked about himself. He was a pioneer in his field - one of the early presidents of the Decision Sciences Institute and authored some of the earliest books and publications in decision sciences. I worked with him on a summer project 20 years back and since then I had a good friend and an advisor. He always stayed in touch even after I moved out of Blacksburg. I have lost a friend, a colleague, and a mentor. I will miss him.

I was able to spend some time with Larry this past November. He entertained us with his many stories and a delicious dinner. I was so pleased to see pictures of his beautiful family. He loved you all so much and was very proud of you all.

Senior year at Monmouth, Home of the Fighting Scots, was a blast. Squid meetings at the spot with beer and steaks, getting to know each other, rock maintenance and water skiing. I had a boat and no car, you had a car and no boat.....match made in heaven. Hope you're enjoying your return home. Peter.

A man's man....a college classmate...a fraternity brother...a member of the Secret Order of the Octopus...I will miss him, but I am a better person for knowing him. See you next time, Mo...Charlie

I love you and considered you family. When you were here in the summer we dd many things together and im grateful for that time. You hated my car but we came up with a system to back yourself in and you were a trooper. We went to the dog park each day and you really enjoyed throwing the balls for them. So did Dude and Cuzzy! You loved my houseboat and i was tickeled by that! You would ask if we could just stay a bit longer and of course we could! Your favorite thing we did was go for a Thai massage. You said it was your first and really enjoyed it. When We went to tip the guy you gave him a big hug with his thank you and told everyone we saw about it. It was a nice few day and I also enjoyed our many talks. RIP Larry. You will be missed Suzyjo

The first time we met Larry we went to the circus and before it began we went behind the scene to view the animals and I was sneezed on by a camel with Larry standing next to me...he thought it was the funniest thing ever...eeekkk Many memories of fun times with Larry and family over those years, I know Julia, Andy and Stefani will miss him, but am so glad they had time with him as he was going through health issues lately.
