To the Menoher's, Larry was a very special friend and co-worker he will be miss very much he was a devoted man when it came to his job, never had a lot to say but when he spoke he was well respected. My first time working with Larry I was working on the night shift and had the opportunity to know him as a person and friend, it was on a Saturday and was the last time Larry worked on call, it was obvious that his wife had other plans that he could have been doing something else with his time they was on the phone and with his son. On that same day I had a emergency phone call from my wife they had to rush my son over to Western Wake Hospital from a ( Bee ) sting to the mouth of my son of 23yrs, Larry didn't hesitate after I told him what was the problem, he told me to handle my business and I did just that I was worried that my son Peter would not have survived from such a traumatic experience, my son Peter and I & The Givens family just want to say thanks to the Menoher's for giving us the opportunity to be a part of Larry's Legacy. On another note!!! how I could tell that Larry was serious about work if he asked you something he would take his glasses off and look at you he never asked for much in return..... when I left work on June29th Larry pull me to the said and took his glasses off and said to me, Rob you get well and take care of yourself and I will see you when you come back to work. Until we meet again Larry.

LARRY was one of the few great people I had a chance to meet and work with. Over the past fourteen years we become good friends. I wish I had the opportunity to have fished, hunted or even hung out with him and talked. I knew how much he loved too do all of them. You could tell from his presence that he was the same at work or off work. He was thoughtful, kind, jokeful a good listener and above all a great friend. I will miss you very much Larry, your friend Jeff.

Menoher family my thoughts are with you at these tragic times. I will miss him as a friend and boss but also like a father. During hunting season I was with him more than my wife and kids on the weekends . My kids and wife also will miss him dearly . My little boy always talked about going to Larry's house to go fishing and hunting with him . He was always there for people and would do anything for anyone . He will be truly missed.

I've known Larry for the past six years I've been employed with the town. He was my supervisor for my first three years and as time has gone by, a person I call a friend. In my case and many others Larry was quick to put out his hand in friendship. We went hunting and fishing at his house. One time he knew things were tight for me financially and he asked me to help him out on a side job which I was more than happy to do. He also kept me stocked with garden vegetables and blueberries that he brought in and I usually felt guilty for taking so much, but they were just so good! We'll miss you Larry. Seth

Dad, I miss you so much. I wish I had gotten to see you in March when you contacted me, but I was already in Wilmington. I wish that we could have kept in better contact with each other like we tried so often to do but living across the United States didn't make it much easier. I love you, and I know that you're in a better place now. Nichol

Where to start? Larry was a great guy. He was the kind of guy that was willing to help you out at the drop of a hat. Through out the time I knew him he taught me alot about work as well as thing outside of work. He truly was THAT GUY the one you called if you had a question. I am proud to have been able to call him a coworker as well as my friend. He will truly be missed but not yet forgotten. R.I.P. Larry
