Obituary For Larry Mack Tucker

Larry M. Tucker was born in Locust, NC on August 24, 1945, to Ira Mack Tucker and Leola Honeycutt Tucker and passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 6, 2023. His parents preceded him in death along with his brothers Donny L. Tucker and Ronny G. Tucker.

He is survived by his beloved wife Jan Denmark Tucker, son Duane Tucker (Amalia), Daughter, Traci Tucker Cortez (Alvaro) sister, Doris Tucker Surratt (Charles) and brother George M. Tucker (Kathy) and his beloved grandchildren Sydney Tucker, Sebastian Cortez and Oliver Cortez who were the loves of his life and his greatest joy was spending time with them. He taught them so much about life. His love of music, running and golf was instilled in his children and grandchildren.

Larry enjoyed two successful careers in retail with Eckerd Drug and Ace Cash Express achieving Regional Vice President positions with both.
Larry was a longtime member of Sardis Presbyterian Church serving as Elder, Chairman of Stewardship, Mustard Seed Group member, Sunday School teacher, served on several Capital Campaigns and other aspects of the life of the Church.

A Memorial Service will be held on September 22, 2023, at Sardis Presbyterian Church in Charlotte NC at 3:00 PM with visitation at 1:30 PM in the Education Building.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to Tunnel to Towers, (t2t.org) an organization that was close to his heart.
