Obituary For Larry Louis Densmore
Larry Louis Densmore 74, of Raleigh, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, September 20 after a lengthy illness. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and mentor to many. Larry was born on September 28, 1938 to Lawrence and Helen Densmore in Bremerton, Washington where he grew up until his senior year of high school. His parents moved to Pensacola, Florida, where he met and married his wife, Priscilla Solice Densmore of 52 years. Larry was a proud graduate of Florida State University and was an avid Seminole fan. After graduation, Larry worked for several large medical companies in Finance and Management. He had a dream of owning his own company and founded Coeur Laboratories where he had several patents for medical devices. Along the way, Larry had a way with mentoring young people in helping them get their careers started. He was a wonderful employer to many in his career and loved them all. After retirement, Larry consulted on several start-up medical companies. The last few years of his life were spent as ââ?¬Å?Popââ?¬Â? enjoying many wonderful family visits and celebrations. We will all miss his annual traditional calls to each of us singing Happy Birthday on our special day. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Helen Densmore . He is survived by his wife Priscilla of 52 years, his four children, Kellie Haggerty Tew and husband J.D., Kevin Lawrence Densmore and wife April, Paul Christopher Densmore and wife Lauren and Shawn William Densmore and significant other Carrie, his eight Grandchildren, Mark Haggerty and wife Misty, Brooks Haggerty, Erin Haggerty Dowgallo and husband Bobby, Taylor Densmore, Christian Densmore, Hayden Densmore, Will Densmore and Grace Densmore, three Great Grandchildren, Helena, Kelsie and Orion Haggerty and his Sister Kay Davis and husband Anthony and several nieces and nephews, and his beloved pets, Louie and Lily. Visitation will be held Monday 4 to 7pm at Renaissance Funeral Home on Six Forks Road. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Wake County who were a ââ?¬Å?ray of sunshineââ?¬Â? in Larryââ?¬â?¢s life these past few weeks.
