Lan Thanh Nguyen of Wake Forest, NC, born Sept 21st, 1925, passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2021 at the age of 95, with his family by his bedside.

Lan was the cherished husband of MyLe Pham for almost 60 years. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam, Lan had 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Lan worked tirelessly to provide for his family as a self-employed businessman in the import/export industry in Vietnam.

After the fall of Saigon in 1975, Lan courageously brought his wife and children to the United States to seek freedom in the hopes of building a better life for his family. He valued higher education and despite the challenges of settling in a new country, he persevered so that his children could have the opportunity for a brighter future.

Lan was an honest man who instilled good family values and hard-working traits in his children and those around him. He was generous, kind, and selfless. He loved to dance, travel, keep up with the latest news around the world, and most of all, spend time with his loved ones.

He is survived by his brother, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren listed below. Brother Luong Van Nguyen and his children (Bich Loan, Buu Loc, My Linh and their family). Oldest Son Danh Thanh Nguyen, his wife Micheline, and children Delphine Lan (husband Thomas Boisaubert and their child Anais), and Sophie MyLe (husband Pierre Moulin and their child Ariane). Tam Thanh Nguyen, his wife Nguyet, and their son David (wife Trang and their children Henry and Christian). Chi Thuong Nguyen, his wife Loan, and their daughters Amber and Tiffany. My Hanh Nguyen, her husband Binh Quang, and their children Ashley, Victoria, and Michael. My Dung Nguyen, her husband Ky Nam Nguyen, and their children Amanda (husband Nathan Yip), Alexander, and Adam.

He is predeceased by his father Long Van Nguyen and mother Thanh Thi Nguyen, his wife MyLe Pham, sisters (Ngan Thi Nguyen, Hoa Thi Nguyen, Lai Thi Nguyen), and brother (Lap Thanh Nguyen).
