Dear Debbie and Robert-- I can not express the heartfelt grief for the loss of your son. He was a wonderful young man who was very much family to us. He is in peace now and hopefully that will be of comfort to you in the days ahead. I will not forget the times we all spent together. I remember the trip to Bush Gardens where Lisa and Kory sang in the choir competition, and so many other good times. He had a huge loving heart and I know how very much he loved you. Find comfort there. Please know I will help in any way needed and never hesitate to call. I love you all so dearly and pray that the pain of this loss will lessen each day. Sincerely--Liz Gomes

Deb and Robert, I just can not find the words to express how sorry I am for your loss. Mere words would be meaningless, in any event. I hope you can find strength through faith, and, in time, a certain peace. If there is anything in this world that I can do for either of you, all you have to do is ask. I will be thinking of you and remembering you in my prayers.

It was my privilege to teach Kory in the fourth grade at Durant Road Elem. I remember his sweet, mischievous smile and his wonderfully cooperative nature. I am so sorry you will be separated from him until you meet again in heaven. I know your pain---we lost our daughter to cancer at age 14. If I can help you in any way, it would be a privilege. Do not hurry your grief. You will need to lean on the Lord for a long time. Lovingly, Charlotte Williams

Kory Cassell...a great kid and a great young adult. I had the opportunity to coach Kory for a number of years and watch him grow not only as a good baseball player, but also as a young adult. He would go out of his way to find me and say "hi coach". I remember seeing him at Chip Broadus's 50th birthday party and saying to myself, he was no longer a kid, but an adult. To both Robert & Debbie, my heart goes out to you in this very tragic happening. I can not imagine what you are going through, especially at such a young age to leave this earth. Please pass on my wife Nora and my condolences to your daughter and all of Kory's family. We will say a special prayer and always remember him as a smiling, respectable young man, even though he liked soccer.

Debbie, Robert, and Karmen...my heart is breaking for you and there are just no words that seem to be the right thing to say. I remember that adorable little baby boy and seeing him as he grew. There are so many times he gave me a chuckle and a smile...whether it was at school in the hallways or the times he was at my house. Kory will be missed by so many people who loved him. In the days ahead, I hope you will hold close the memories of Kory and how he loved you, too. I love you and will do anything at all to help you...now or in the future. I'm only a phone call away.

Dear Robert, Debbie, and Karmen, I am sad to hear the news of Kory passing. I remember Kory watching our dogs while we were out of town, riding his bike around the neighborhood, and how we all helped each other out when Hurricane Fran hit in '96. I pray that God surrounds you all with love. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. Warmly, Your old neighbor, Tammy Koziol Gibson

Kory was such a special young man and will be dearly missed. I remember when he would mow our grass, before he got started he would come and knock on the door and say "Is it okay for me to do this now? I don't want to wake the baby." So sweet and caring, he was. and we are so happy to know that we will all be reunited one day in Heaven. Love you, Kory.

Dear Debbie, Robert and Karmen, I am so saddened to hear of Kory's passing. My heart goes out to you and the family in your time of grief. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Kory was such a sweet boy and helpful neighbor lived across the street from you all. He would help take care of our Cocker's while we were away. They always got so excited to see him coming. I also remember the time the snake was on your front porch and you called to help get it off so Ed came over and took care of the problem. I remember Kory teasing me (you and I)about being afraid of snakes and he thought it was funny how we were acting. He didn't want us to kill it, remember? I have lovely memories of those times when he was growing up. He was truly a sweet young man. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. Sending lost of love and hugs to comfort you. With deepest sympathy, Beth Koziol
