Joyce Ann Metten Pfost, 77, peacefully entered into her heavenly Fathers arms Sunday, July 29, 2018, in Raleigh, NC. She was born in Charleston, WV November 30, 1940 to the late Curtis Elbert and Margaret Ann Gay Metten.

Joyce was formerly employed as a book keeper in the Charleston, WV area with the former Tag Galyean, Raines, and Turnpike car dealerships, to name a few.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband; Charles "Butch" Pfost; sister, Connie Jean Metten Burford; and infant niece, Michelle Burford.

She is survived by her children Cathy Beck (Tim), Dean Burdette (Andrea), Shawn Pfost (Sherry), and Jodi Ross (former Husband Mark Ross). Her brother, Eddie Lee Metten (Debbie). Her beloved Grandchildren: Timothy Beck (Melissa), Adam Beck (Annie), Jessica Armstrong (Matt), Amanda Pfost, Brandon Pfost, Brooke Ross, Peyton Ross, and Cade Burdette. Precious Great Grandchildren: Ella, Noah, Luke, Aria, and Thorin Beck. Special Nephews: Butch Burford (Debbie), Curtis Metten (Amy), and Chad Metten. Beautiful only Great Niece, Heather Burford, and Great-Great Niece, Audrey Burford. Great Nephews, Joshua Burford (Leslie) and Ciaran Burke-Metten, and several dear cousins.

We would be remiss if we didn't include Mom's classmates from Charleston High School class of 1959. She loved her school days and alt of you. Her most fond memories are of the days spent with you. Roar Lions Roar!
