Mr. Joseph Chester Willingham Jr, 68, of Raleigh North Carolina passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025 following a long, well-fought battle against chronic illness. He was the son of the late Joseph Chester Willingham Sr and Patricia Ann DeWitt. Joseph was born on October 10, 1956 in Torrance, California near El Segundo, California where he grew up and attended school. He was united in marriage to Margaret Elizabeth Ange of Jamesville, North Carolina on August 7, 2005.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Margaret Ange; brother John Willingham and sister, Patricia Willingham as well as cousins, nieces and nephew.

Joseph’s life was an inspiration to those who knew him for his positivity, determination, kindness and generosity. His consistent and unwavering belief in friends, family and future hopes bolstered him as he set out daily to be the best version of himself both before and throughout his illness. During his decades long career in the field of tech sales on both the East and West coasts he made a multitude of friends and acquaintances whom he treasured till the last. May Joseph always be remembered as a man who was always ready with a quick smile, a silly joke, a helping hand, some calm advice, an honest demeanor and a heart full of love for others.
