Obituary For Joseph Bernard Kupec, Jr.

Joseph B. Kupec Jr. 83, of Wake Forest, NC passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on April 16, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years, Alice Kupec, his two children, Angela and James, and his two grandchildren, Jasmine and Amanda.

Joseph served our country for 20 years in the Air Force, retiring as a Major. He worked in communications, radar, and intelligence. He enjoyed the traveling experiences the Air Force provided him. After faithfully serving his country he enjoyed another 20 years with the Postal Service.

Joseph’s personal interests were dominated by his love of cars and American furniture antiques. He lead his life serving God, country and family. A Funeral Mass beginning at 2:00pm on Wednesday April 24, 2024 will be held at St. Luke The Evangelist Catholic Church, 12333 Bayleaf Church Road, Raleigh, NC 27614.

My deepest sympathy to Alice, Angela, and Jim. I have so many good memories of Joe from our Air Force days, and later. In his work, he always exemplified the highest standards of excellence. As a friend, he was always there for us. We shared many memorable experiences and we enjoyed reminiscing about them whenever we were able to get together. I will always remember him as a person who unfailingly tried to do the right thing, and you can't ask for more than that. Again, my condolences to the family.
