Joong Won Lee, 66 of Raleigh, died in his sleep Monday morning, September 24, 2018. He was born July 4th, 1952 in Seoul, South Korea. He was the son of the late In-Hwan Lee and Gae-Soon Chung. He moved to California in 1980 and to North Carolina in 1998 and proudly became a naturalized United States citizen on August 6, 2002. He owned Dentek Dental Laboratory and worked as a dental technician alongside his wife. He loved country music, to play golf with friends, his family, and most of all, his beloved wife of 38 years.

Joong is survived by his wife, Sharon Lee; son, Kenneth Lee; daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Nitin Mehdiratta; sister and brother-in-law Joong A. and Sang Cho; sister Joon Boody; and brother and sister-in-law Jung Sook and Joong H. Lee.

He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law and In Ae and Joong G. Lee; and brother-in-law Ted Boody.

A visitation will be held at Renaissance Funeral Home at 6:00 PM on Saturday.
