Obituary For Jonah Samuel Weiss

Jonah Samuel Weiss, 30, of Fuquay-Varina, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at his home. Born on December 26, 1993, in Annapolis, Maryland, Jonah was the beloved son of Ivy Dearman of Apex, NC, and Jim Weiss of Spokane, WA.

Jonah spent his early years in Palm Beach County, Florida, where he attended public schools and later graduated from Palm Beach State College. A proud tech enthusiast, Jonah found fulfillment in his career in networking and cybersecurity. Alongside his work in technology, he was also a respected firearm dealer.

Jonah was known for his striking features, radiant smile, and brilliant mind. With a caring, kind, and often goofy personality, Jonah lit up every room he entered. His BIG personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and he was deeply loved by all who knew him.

Jonah leaves behind his adoring family: his mother, Ivy; his sister, Sabrina; his nephew, Elliott; his father, Jim; his beloved Auntie D; and his cousins, Matt and Amanda. He also shared a beautiful love story with Kate, a relationship tragically cut short – a beautiful life. Jonah will also be dearly missed by his best friends—Hayden, Paul, and Chris—whom he considered brothers.

A funeral service to honor Jonah’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.

Please receive my sincere condolences. I can't imagine how you all are feeling right now, specially his Mom. I remember talking to her once when she called to the office during the time we worked together. Wishing you strength to handle the pain.
