Obituary For John Joseph Coleman

John Joseph Coleman, Jr. of Robbinsville, North Carolina, passed away on November 13, 2010 at the age of 66.

He was a retired Clearwater, Florida police officer as well as a firearms instructor for police officers, police explorers, and the Robbinsville High School rifle team. He loved competing in NRA and Cowboy shooting matches. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his children and grandchildren. Being a grandfather brought an infinite amount of joy to his life.

He is survived by wife, Patricia E. Coleman; two daughters and their husbands: Trish and David Keyser, and Jennifer and Craig Reilly; four grandchildren: Hope, Shelby, Ashli, and Adam; brother, George J. Coleman; sister, Kathy Outten; six nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, John J. Coleman, Sr. and Margaret G. Coleman; sister, Peggy Sable.

The funeral will take place at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Rd., Raleigh, NC, 27615, on November 20, 2010 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a special account for a scholarship fund in his honor for a deserving student: American Legion Post 0192, In Honor of John J. Coleman, Jr., P.O. Box 1301, Robbinsville, NC 28771-1301.
