Obituary For John Guy Marsil

John G. Marsil, 83, died Saturday January 3, 2015 at Sunrise Senior Living. He is survived by his loving wife, Nanette, of 42 years; son, Keith; and grandchildren, Emily Rose and Nicholas Marsil. John is predeceased by his first son, John David.

John was a US Army Veteran serving from 1951 to 1954. He worked for IBM for 37 years in Kingston, NY and then Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. After retirement he owned and operated Home Health Care Insurance Agency for 15 years. John was especially proud of his accomplishments as a participant in the Senior Olympics where he won a combined 38 gold, silver, and bronze medals in swimming through his sixty and in to his mid-seventies.

Dear Nanette: I remember John and yourself very clearly. I want to offer my condolences. All of us had wonderful times together. When you moved away, I wished we kept in touch with each other. I am a widow, Stanley passed away August 20th, 2007, from a terrible sonoma Cancer. This Cancer invaded his whole body. He died one month after his 73rd birthday.
