Obituary For John Gabriel Sakakeeny

John G. Sakakeeny, 70, of Raleigh, North Carolina passed due to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis at Duke Hospice Hock Pavilion in Durham, NC on December 02, 2021. John was born January 26, 1951 to the late Rose Regelsperger Sakakeeny and James Sakakeeny. He is survived by his wife, Teresa.

A Viewing and Visitation will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27615.

A Funeral Service will occur at Vision Baptist Church, 7633 Buffaloe Road, Raleigh, NC 27616, on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Burial will occur immediately following the service at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest.

    John was one of the kindest men I have ever known. Not only was he kind to all, he was steady in his faith to our Lord and Savior. When I lost my elderly mother and was hurting so deeply, John called and talked with me. He quoted 2 Corinthians 5:8-----"We are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." From that point on, I was internally calmed and could clearly face the situation. Teresa, I am so very sorry for your loss. You and John were so good together and no doubt there will be a huge void. Hold onto the good memories and lean on God for comfort.
