I am stunned to hear of John's passing. I worked with John and other team members on a project at DPI. Whenever we had a free moment to discuss things besides work, he was quick to talk about where his heart was...with Sherry and his family. He was eager to show the newest pictures of Charlotte and share stories of weekend visits with his sons. My heart is with you as you cope with this aching loss. Best, Maryam Latil

I was so sorry to hear about John. When I first met him he was a teenager going to high school. I always enjoyed his wit and ability to discuss subjects. He was like a little brother to me. He will be missed. May God provide comfort to Sherri and family in this difficult time. Sincerely, Roy

I was blown away to hear of Johns passing. He and I went to church together at Christian Life Center in Gaithersburg, MD where he was head usher for several years. I was also able to get him a Project Manager contract position at ExxonMobil in Fairfax, VA while I was working together. We worked side by side for about a year and had lots of laughs. He was a really good friend. I always envied his professionalism and how sharply he dressed. I told him he must have learned that while he was in the US Marine Corp. He just laughed. He was very humble. He and I would also share stories about our sinuses and all the issues we had. It turns out we were treated by the same Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) doctor in Rockville, MD and he and I had the same sinus surgery. Small world. I also remember his roller blading stories with his 2 boys while living in Damascus. He had fallen on his face and damaged his sinus cavity (to say the least) and the same ENT doctor had to perform sinus surgery...again! Of course John just laughed about it. I will never forget our times together...both professionally and spiritually. John will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to Sherri and the family. May God give you peace through this difficult time. Remember that Jesus is the Prince of Peace Very Sincerely, Tony Ford Frederick, MD
