Jim McLaughlin, 76, died on November 5, 2022 of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, an incurable lung disease of unknown origin.

While IPF stole his breath it never daunted his spirit. Until the end he remained an irreverent, humorous, loving husband and friend who was passionate about making a difference, especially in transportation for the disadvantaged.

He was predeceased by his mother Evelyn and father, Joseph McLaughlin of Rutherford, NJ. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 34 years, Pat and his two lap cats, Tabby and Ty.

Burial will be private and a Celebration of Life will be held on December 10, 2022 at 11AM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh. For information contact pat.vista.mclaughlin@gmail.com.
