Jerome "Jerry" Brewster January 5, 1934 - April 6, 2018 Raleigh, NC

Jerome Boniface (Jerry) Brewster of Raleigh passed away on April 6, 2018, after a brief illness. He was 84.

Jerry was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Jerome (Harry) and Genevieve Brewster. After serving in the US Air Force for four years, Jerry attended the Case Institute of Technology, graduating in the first class at Case that studied solid state circuitry. An accomplished electrical engineer, Jerry accumulated several patents throughout his professional career with Bailey Meter and Westinghouse Research & Development. Jerry lived with his family in Murrysville, PA for many years before retiring to Raleigh in 2003.

Jerry enjoyed fishing, photography, and golf, but gardening was his true passion. He successfully cultivated a wide array of vegetables, flowers, and fruits. He was also a life-long dog-lover, and spent many enjoyable hours with his trusted companions over the years.

Jerry is survived by his wife Colette; daughters, Margaret Brewster, Martha Register and her husband Chris; son, Jerome; grandchildren, Frances, Nathan, and Isaac Register; brother, Harry Eaton and his wife Liz; sister-in-law, Virginia Brewster, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Brewster.

He was a member of The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi, in Raleigh. A memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Mary of the Angels Chapel at the St. Francis of Assisi parish, 11401 Leesville Road in Raleigh.
