I did not know Judge Green personally but appeared before her many times. She was among the best judges on the bench. I respected her very much. I send my sincerest condolences to her family and friends.

I'm stricken to learn of this news, her wisdom was so useful in the DV community. My son passed away only 10 days after her & we've been going to Interact for over 12 yrs. & they've been nothing short of an amazing resource for us. My only wish is there will be an angel to carry on her work, b/c this community certainly needs it & families will not thrive without it.

I worked alongside Judge Green for many years and have been told on many occasions that I am the longest working Civil Court Advocate InterAct has had. Judge Green and I were quite close and shared a bond that is hard to explain to many people. During my years, I have learned many lessons from her as a budding young professional to a more seasoned advocate. She has not only impacted my career and my growth from young womanhood to true adulthood, but she has impacted the lives of many people in the tough face of domestic violence and custody conflicts. Judge Green approached these situations with a critical understanding of not just the law, but also the dynamics of domestic violence and abuse and did not take these things lightly. There would be many a day where she and I recalled cases from years prior. It is truly a blessing to have known such a strong woman and have had the opportunity to be affected by her on a personal level. I am grateful for the work that she has done and the impact she has made on every person she has seen. I am deeply affected by this loss and my thoughts and energy go out to her family. Thank you, Judge Green, for always being yourself and being present when I needed your support.

My son Ian Scofield was in scouting with Jennifer's son Cameron. Jennifer and her husband Mark were both very active in the troop. When my son had a school project involving the judicial system, Jennifer invited us to sit in her courtroom one afternoon and observe. Afterwards she invited us up to the bench and into her chambers, allowed Ian to sit in her chair (quite exciting for him!), and was very patient explaining what her position as a judge entailed. Jennifer was such a can-do person. My family is very saddened with her loss and our hearts, thoughts and most of all prayers go out to her family.

Judge Green's advocacy and wise decisions made a monumental difference in my life, and ensured a positive and stable future for my children. I will never forget . . . a champion now rests in peace. Sending wishes for peace and grace for family and friends.

I feel so blessed to have had such a dear friend as Jennifer. Fun memories from high school, and then college as well as Jen was my 1st college roommate at UNC-G <3... As the years have passed, "girls getaway weekends" would not have been the same without Jennifer there. I will miss you my dear friend, you have been a great inspiration to both me and my family.

I worked as Jennifer's paralegal at Johnson, Mercer, Hearn & Vinegar and Herring, McBennett. Jennifer was a great attorney, always representing her clients diligently with compassion and concern. Saw this news in the e-bar flyer, and it is a sad end to the day. Never saw Jennifer down, never saw her anything but positive. She gave a lot to the profession and to the people who appeared before her. Judge Green had much respect for the Social Work profession and it was very evident in her court room. She would always make sure the Social Worker's cases were heard first in order to get us out because she realize how busy we were. RIP Judge Green you will be missed in Wake County Domestic Violence Court.

Through the years, Jennifer was a tireless advocate for her clients and on the bench, she made a true difference for the victims of domestic violence. I hope her son knows he was loved and treasured because she was always talking about what Cameron was up to and how he was doing - she smiled so much when she spoke of her son. What a truly honorable person, a knowledgeable lawyer and a compassionate judge. On Monday, I went to her courtroom before the start of court and said a prayer of thanks for her service to Wake County and I hope she knew we so appreciated a judge of her caliber. Rest in peace, beautiful girl and know you will be missed.
