We had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Jeffery while waiting at the bus stop for our daughter Keira. Jeffery was there for Dakota almost every day. He walked up to that corner every day, and he was probably in pain most of the time but you would never know it. He was always smiling and jovial. We took some comfort on the days that one of us might be late returning to the neighborhood, that he would most likely be there. Whenever we walked our dog, he was usually on his front steps shouting out a greeting as we approached. He always asked us how we and our family were doing, and how Eileen's family in Ireland were. Whenever he saw us pull in our driveway or walk out of the house (we are 5 houses away) he would throw up the hand to greet us silently. You couldn't miss it, and it was always returned. Jeffery was the ambassador of kindness and friendliness on our street. We will definitely miss him. Rest in peace, Jeffery. ~ Keira, Eileen, & Jim...

Greetings Friends and family, I would like to share a few words of Jeffery Swinton. I have had the honor of knowing Jeffery because of my wonderful cousin in-law Otis Swinton. My heart goes out to all of you and especially his siblings because I know the pain. There will be good and bad days but I can truly say Jeffery is finally free! Jeffery, no matter your struggles, you always and I mean always took a moment out of your pain to think of others. Your smile will always be with me and I will cherish our conversation on the steps. I truly believe that energy never dies only transform. I know you will always be there for all of us and possibly sitting on the steps which would be great for Otis because they may have a rat or bunny in the bushes that Otis is scared of 🤣. I love you Jeffery!
