Obituary For Jeannine Marie Michel

Jeannine M. Michel, a long-time resident of the Raleigh area, died Tuesday, the 19th of November at Rex Hospital. Born in 1933 in Petion-Ville, Haiti, she devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members and friends. Jeannine loved to cook and socialize. She enjoyed singing old Haitian Songs to entertain her family, and she had a wonderful heart that loved everyone she met. She is preceded in death by her son, Maxime Alexandre; and is survived by her daughter, Dominique Alexandre; son-in-law, Frank McGuire; granddaughter Vanessa Joseph; sister, Simone Etienne; her cousins, Emmanuel, Roland, Serge Laguerre; and Bossuet Painson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews living in the United States, Canada, and Haiti. A visitation will take place on Friday, November 29, at Renaissance Funeral Home from 6pm to 8pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 30th at 11:00 A.M at Saint Raphael Catholic Church, 5801 Fall of Neuse Road, Raleigh, North Carolina. Interment will follow at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens.
