Jean P. Pozella, 87, of Raleigh, NC, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2017. Jean was born on May 15, 1929, to the late Emery and Retta Lyons Dunning, and was married to William Pozella on January 17, 1953. She was a former resident of Cortland, NY, and Lake Monticello, Va.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Jean is survived by daughters Patti Pozella, Pam Barden and Penny Pozella, granddaughter Cailyn Pozella, sister and brother-in-law Judy and Jerry Yacovone, brothers-in-law John Pozella and Joseph DiPace, several nieces and nephews, close family friend Michelle Coppage, and her many friends at Whispering Pines.

She was predeceased by her husband Bill, daughter Debbie Jean, and twin sister Jane DiPace.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 am on February 6, 2017, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Raleigh, NC, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smile Train or Saving Grace Animals for Adoption, Wake Forest, NC.
