Obituary For Jean Marie Brown

Jean Marie Brown, 87, of Raleigh died Monday, 30 April 2012. She was born in New York on 24 Feb 25 to the late August and Jennie Piscitelli. Funeral mass will be held at 11:30 following a visitation at 10:30 on 7 May 2012 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Raleigh, burial to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. Jean moved to Raleigh with her husband and children in 1964. She was employed by Wachovia Bank in the Data Processing Center. Upon retiring she had many interests and volunteering activities. Jean, along with her family, were Charter Members of St. Raphael's where she was active in the Altar Guild, was a Eucharistic Minister and participated in the ministry of knitting baby blankets for Catholic Social Services. Along with her husband Jean was a long - time volunteer at Rex Hospital and also helped with Meals on Wheels. Her most favorite pastime was reading and word search books. 20 books at least from the library....every two weeks ! She was a known face at the Wake Co Library! Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her brother August Piscitelli, Jr., and a grandson, Joseph J. Pergola, Jr. She is survived by 3 daughters, Margie Pergola (Joey) of Arizona, BettyAnn Hart (Brian Burris) of California and Teresa Coward (Stuart) of Zebulon, N.C. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Donna Greenfield, Arizona; Alicia Bozarth, California, Quint Coward of Raleigh and Carlie Coward of Zebulon, 4 great grandchildren, one sister, Rose Profita of New Jersey and 2 very special and dear to her heart nieces, Nancy Bianco of New York and Joanne Jacaruso of New Jersey. Donations in her memory may be made to the Charity of one's choice or to the Ovarian Cancer Fund at www.ovarianawareness.org and designated to "Teresa's Troop" and flowers will be accepted graciously. Jean was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother, Sister and Aunt, and oh so dear to all who knew her. â??Rest blissfully, Mom ~ well deservedâ??
