Janice Kanick Greene, 85, of Charlotte NC died on May 26, 2022, while on hospice at her son’s home after a long and tiring battle against illness. She was born in Wilkinsburg PA, Sep 9, 1936, daughter of the late Merle Lucille and Charles Valentine Kanick.

Janice graduated from Wilkinsburg High School She went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Bacteriology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she met and married Claude Edgar Greene.

Janice worked for Ralph Whitehead & Associates for over 25 years. After retiring she worked for the First Assembly of God’s church school office, and later volunteered in the office of Eastway Church of God.

Janice was always devoted to teaching children. She taught children’s church for many years at both Eastway Church of God and at First Assembly of God, and she also tutored children.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her son, Charles Ernest Greene and daughter-in-law, Catherine, of Cary NC, and their children, John, Samuel, and Kathryn. Janice is also survived by many wonderful cousins and friends.

A Graveside Service for family and close friends will be held 11:00 am on Friday June 3, 2022, at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Dr., Wake Forest NC 27587.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am on June 25, 2022, at Eastway Church of God, 1131 Eastway Dr., Charlotte NC 28205.
