Mr. Jamshid Hafshejani, age 78, of Raleigh, North Carolina peacefully passed away on June 8, 2023. He was the son of the Gangi Ali Hafshejani and Om Leila Hafshejani. Jamshid was born on May 29, 1945, in Masjed Soleyman, Iran. He attended high school in Iran and went on to graduate from West Virginia Tech as a civil engineer.

He was united in matrimony to Brenda Sharkey Hafshejani on November 30th of 1978. This union of 43 years was blessed with 4 children and 5 grandchildren.

Jamshid held many titles Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend, Mohandes (engineer in Farsi) but his greatest title was ‘the great provider’.

He was an extremely hard-working man and retired from Civil Engineering work in two different countries. His hobbies were drawing house plans and architectural work for residential development.

Jamshid could build anything from a small project all the way up to a large structure which always started with much organization and planning. He was also an amazing gardener, there was not a flower, bush, or tree he could not plant.

He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Hafshejani, father, Ganji Ali Hafshejani; mother, Om Leila Hafshejani; brother, Freydoon Hafshejani; and sisters Golnar Hafshejani, Mary Hafshejani, Zarintaj Hafshejani, and Shahnaz Hafshejani.

His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children Damon (Kera) Hafshejani of Raleigh, North Carolina; Jiran (Siamak) Hafshejani of Raleigh, North Carolina; Donya Hafshejani of Greensboro, North Carolina; Daniel (Bridget) Hafshejani of Gastonia, North Carolina; brothers, Jahangeer Hafshejani of Ahwaz, Iran, Jahansha Hafshejani of Shahin Shar Isfehan, Iran, Farhad Hafshejani of Raleigh, NC; Sister, Mina Hafshejani of Shahin Shar Isfehan, Iran; and his grandchildren, Ariana, Cyrus, Freydoon, Blake and Roya; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at Renaissance Funeral Home on Monday June 12, 2023. The visitation will be from 10am -11am with a funeral service to follow at 11am. The burial will be held after the funeral service at Oakwood Cemetery.
