Jad M. Barghout of 7501 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh, North Carolina died peacefully on July 25, 2018. He was born July 13, 1932 to the late Mahfouz H. Barghout and Zohour Faques. He was preceded in death by sisters Georgette & Nahil Barghout.

A funeral service will be held at Renaissance Funeral Home in Raleigh at Noon on Saturday, July 28th by Father Misaeil Abou El Kheir of Saint Mary Coptic Orthodox Church.

Survivors include his wife Lynn Barghout, daughter Lauren of California, and son Jeffrey and his wife Marilee of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Samantha Barghout-Stein, Megan & Andrew Barghout; brothers Isa (wife Suad), George (wife Ikhlas), Jamile (wife Yvonne), Emile (wife Aida), and sisters Nuha Darraj & Suad Musaref (husband Jacob); and many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jad spoke seven languages, received multiple Master’s degrees including one in Electrical Engineering and had an esteemed career at Bell Labs in the New York Metropolitan Area. In his early years he worked on components that were used in some of the first communications satellites. In his later years, he founded Ramleh Enterprises and built an environmentally-friendly townhome community in Bedford, New York. His hobbies included cooking, gardening, walking, tinkering and building things. He dearly loved spending time with and caring for his family. He always asked how he could be helpful and he never met a stranger.

Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, North Carolina. The family will receive friends at 11am on Saturday, July 28th at Renaissance Funeral Home.
