Obituary For Jacquelyn D. Layton

Jacquelyn D Layton, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at home February 18, 2025 3 years after her diagnosis with Alzheimer’s. Jackie was a beacon of love and joy, always making every day feel special for those she cherished. Her beautiful smile and infectious optimism brightened the lives of everyone she met.

Jackie was deeply devoted to her family. She was an incredibly doting mother and grandmother, always showering her loved ones with affection and care. Her selfless love and unwavering support were the foundations of her family’s happiness.

Affectionately known as “Jackie O” by her friends, she was known for her impeccable style and graceful presence. She took great pride in her appearance, always dressing elegantly and setting an example of sophistication.

Jackie shared a close bond with her five siblings, maintaining constant contact and celebrating life’s moments together. Her love for fashion, decorating, and baking showcased her creativity and warmth. She was an incredible homemaker who transformed her house into a loving, joyful home filled with laughter and memories.

Jackie had a special talent for making birthdays and holidays extraordinary. Her ability to turn even the most mundane days into celebrations of fun and laughter was a testament to her joyful spirit and boundless energy.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, joy, and elegance will forever remain in our hearts.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Phil, her 3 daughters Joei Fiteny, Amanda Strader, (Allen), Lacey Trice, (Jason), grandchildren, Lucas and Lily Strader, Lila Trice, Sisters Connie Luebkert, (Paul), Judy George, (Bill), Roxanne Loew, (Ray), brothers Jim Shoner, (Kathy) and Rob Shoner, (Renee) and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at a later date.
