Obituary For Irene Lassally Schwarz

Irene Lassally Schwarz, 85, passed away December 6 in Raleigh. Born in Hamburg, Germany, she spent her adult life in the New York City area before moving to Raleigh in 2010. She was preceded in death in 2006 by her husband of 54 years, Ralph J. Schwarz. She is survived by her son Dr. Ronald Schwarz and daughter in law Dr. Mina Levin of Raleigh;l her daughter Sylvia Winik and son in law Peter Winik of Bethesda, MD; and her brother Peter Lassally and sister in law Alice Lassally of Beverly Hills, CA. She was a beloved grandmother of Jonathan Schwarz and granddaughter in law Shannon Murtaugh of Seattle, Washington, Daniel Winik of Washington, DC, and Allison Winik of New York, NY. The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the outstanding and loving care she received from Dr. Steven Leibowitz.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm Sunday, December 8, at The Cypress of Raleigh Clubhouse, 8801 Cypress Lakes Drive, Raleigh, NC 27615. I am sorry to read of the passing of your loved one; please accept my deepest sympathy.
