My heart is heavy with sadness but I'm left with many fond memories of Irene whom I've known since the third grade. Always smiling, laughing, and full of fun. The golf course won't be the same without her. Rest In Peace my longtime dear friend. Karen Sayres Sarine

Thank you Lord, Irene is finally at peace now which she so richly deserved. It was a privilege to be by her side and hold her hand as she was lovingly welcomed into the arms of Jesus. Although my heart is heavy, when I think of Irene in Heaven it beats with such joy! I love you my friend! :sparkling_heart:Ruth

So sad to hear this. Irene was one of the happiest, kindest people I've ever known. Mom and Dad really liked her when they met. I will always remember her. God be with her family at this trying time.

So sad to know my dear friend of over 40 years is gone. However, it is a comfort to know she is not struggling like she had for the past 14 months. Even though we lost her here on earth, we will see her again, and now she is reunited with Molly and Nick and having a joyous time with them. I love you, sweet friend.

We first met Irene as freshmen in high school. Confident and outgoing, she was a girl ahead of her time. When Irene truly deserved to be on the cheerleading squad, but didn't make it, she initiated the school's first twirling team. Irene was elected president of our senior class, a remarkable achievement in the fifties for a female student. She faced lifes difficulties, even devastating illness, with courage. We argued, cried, and laughed together many times over the past sixty years. And, as the words of that country song go, When you have the choice to sit it out or dance, Irene always danced. She wouldnt have it any other way. Rest in peace, dear friend. We will remember you always. Nancy Scala Gael Dewees

So sorry for the loss of Irene. She was a beautiful lady with a beautiful smile and always a friend to all. Irene was a great asset to the Southern Bell/BellSouth/AT&T family. She is already missed by so many of us at our December AT&T breakfast's. Rest in peace Irene.
