Herbert A. Fischer, 94 years old, passed away peacefully on January 20,2022 at Transitions Hospice in Raleigh, NC.

Herb was born in Newark, NJ to Arthur and Bertha Fischer and was a WWII Navy Veteran. In November 2021, Herb and his wife Joan (Weippert) celebrated 71 years of marriage, and lived in Clark, NJ where they raised their children. After Herb retired from Schering-Plough Corporation they moved to Myrtle Beach, SC.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Karen, and brother, Fredrick Fischer. He is survived by his wife Joan Fischer, his two children: Herb Fischer (Paula) and Janice McCampbell (Dennis); 3 wonderful grandsons: Mark Fischer (Rebecca), Kevin Fischer (Kimberly), David McCampbell and six great-grandchildren: Connor, Carolynn, Cameron, Joseph, Christian and Isaac.

Herb was an avid bowler with a mean left hook. Herb and Joan loved to travel and cruised to many places in the world.

There will be a celebration of Herb's life in the spring in NJ. Donations may be made in memory of Herb to the Alzheimer's Association.
