Obituary For Helen Pearl Koller

Helen Koller, of Raleigh NC, passed away September 19, 2013 at the age of 92. She was born in Bladen County on September 5, 1921 to Bettie and Purlie Evans. She graduated from White Oak High School and attended Peace College. Helen was a devoted wife, mother and friend who enjoyed sharing her interest in fashion and decorating. She had a wonderful way of reaching out to others. Helen is survived by her children, Vickie White and husband Doug, and Stephen Koller; granddaughter, Stephanie White; and brother, Ewell Evans of Wadesboro NC. She is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, David Koller; brothers, Luther, Harold, Robert and Rex Evans; and sister, Olivia Swartz. A visitation will be held on October 5 at 1:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh NC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be to Grace Community Church, 6561 Meridien Drive, Raleigh NC 27616 or your special charity.

I will miss Helen so much as I always looked forward to seeing her on the porch enjoying the neighborhood. She was such a sweet person and I truly valued her friendship. Doug and Vickie were so great to her and I know we will all miss Helen's presence.
