Obituary For Grosvenor White

Grosvenor White Jr, 79, of Raleigh, NC, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012. Grosvenor grew up in Scarsdale, NY. He graduated from Pomfret Preparatory School, CT, and attended Rutgers University, NJ, before joining the U.S. Navy. Grosvenor served on the USS Leyte and the USS Antietam as a Radar Operator from 1953 to 1957. He worked for 40 years in the hardware business before retiring to Raleigh in 1998 from Somers, NY. Grosvenor is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie Keckeissen White and his loving family, which includes eight children and their spouses; Donna White Quirk and Bill, Nancy White Goudey, Robert White, Jane White Gibbons and Chris, Richard White and Karla, Steven White and Janine, Linda White Schwarz and Derek, and Jennifer White Schudlik and Fritz; and 27 grandchildren. They celebrated their golden anniversary 4 years ago at Kill Devil Hills, NC, with a reunion of the entire immediate family of 42 loving members. Grosvenor is also survived by his sisters, Frances White Ranft and Elizabeth White Larizza. Grosvenor was a member of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. The funeral will take place Tuesday, December 18, at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 11401 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC. Visitation is from 3:00 ââ?¬â?? 4:00PM, followed by a funeral mass at 4:00pm. Flowers or donations may be sent to Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615, (919) 866-1866. Donations will be shared evenly between Grosvenorââ?¬â?¢s two favorite charities; St Judeââ?¬â?¢s Children Research Hospital and The American Diabetes Association.
