It's hard for your age group to process & I've seen first hand they don't know how to react but with crying & shock, questioning self mortality maybe. Cole is in a very special place in Heaven & was currently self- engaged in a middle school bible study. Was well rounded as you know. Let his memories live on, & give you the strength to suceed at any career goals you plan to accomplish for your future. There are no limitations to what you can do if you put your mind to it.   Cole will never be forgotten. Sometimes I find myself looking at the pictures on here and remembering him and how he looked and how he talked and preserving him in my memory and heart forever. I realized how much I actually knew him, and every day when he crosses my mind, I offer up a little prayer for you and your family. His smile is probably the thing I love the most about him, and it brings tears to my eyes and a smile to my face when I think about him because him being gone makes me sad, yet my memories of him are happy. I know this is hard for me, so I can't imagine how hard this is for you. Every night you and your family are prayed for in my families nighlty prayers and also in my own personal prayers. Cole was an amazing person and I am very glad that I got to know him in his time here on earth. I'll always remember Cole, and his memories will help me make the most of my time here on earth. You must be a very strong lady, and although I do not personally know you, I have much respect for you. God bless

  I don't think my earlier response showed up, but Coles memories will always drive me to make the most of my time here on earth. Sometimes I find myself looking at pictures on here, remembering how he looked, how he talked, and preserving them in my memory and heart forever. I realized I knew Cole more than I had thought, and I'm glad that I got to know him because he was an amazing person. My favorite thing about him was his smile. It was so big and contagious and could light up a room or make your day just a little better. This is hard for me so I can't imagine how hard this is for you. Every night you and your family are prayed for in my families nightly prayers and in my own personal prayers. Sometimes I think of Cole, and tears come to my eyes but I can't help but smile, because him being gone saddens me, but my memories of him are happy.   I remember us always going to the Train Museum near your Great Grandmothers every chance we got. Whether it was for Thomas the Train, Easter, or the Christmas lights. We would visit family & take in the museum before leaving. Going on without you will always hurt and never be the same, especially during the holidays. I miss you everyday. Miss your cuddles. We'll never have a chance for all the adventures we planned on. You were so close to that dream coming true of starting your life as a young man to work towards all his goals and you had it all planned out. You knew you wanted to be from the time you were 2 yrs old- a marine biologist & study sharks as your plan A. You had Plan B,C, even a plan D. They say we don't age in just a number of years but in life years, so one can be much wiser & older than we really are. I know you were wise beyond your years & a very special and talented sweet young man. I'm honored to be your mother & have had the years we had together. I'll always wish you were still here but God & life had other plans for your amazing spirit. I love you always....the love goes on, love never dies

  I love this. And love that he's still in your hearts. Just as our family was touched by the gesture of the dedication of him @the assembly at Heritage last year. Epilepsy can be a very misunderstood illness as with any neurological disease. I encourage at anytime in life if you unfortunately have someone in your family that has an illness for whatever the reason remember knowledge is power. We can all help make their quality of life better while their here. He loved the structure of being at school everyday & his school family. He is deeply missed & knew he was a loved rising gentleman that became an angle. Thank you guys this brings warmth & solace to my heart.

  His favorite time of year was from Thanksgiving until New Years, when he got to celebrate. He was always so enthusiastic about going to school & cherished the times of when his teachers/classmates would sing Happy Birthday to him which was always the last day before Christmas break. You were so incredibly strong & such a trooper to endure what your body went through. Most that met you didn't even know you had epilepsy until right there towards the end.   Every year Cole and I always put up Halloween decorations together. After going trick or treating in my neighborhood, he enjoyed handing out treats to check out the costumes. I took pictures every year at Halloween of Cole and his costume as it was a major decision as what he was going to be. It always had to be the perfect one for him. You were blessed with the gift of a wonderful son for 14 years - the gift of laughter and smiles, the gift of hugs and kisses, the gift of diapers and report cards, and even illness. That dimple. That sheepish smile that made him look like he was up to no good! Cole loved Josh, and would shadow him everywhere. He would sit for hours just playing video games with him. God knows your pain...   I wasn't Coles best friend, but we talked now and then, and my row in science suddenly being one man shorter has hit me harder than expected. There is a video on my iPod from the last day of 6th grade in the empty band room where him and another kid are tossing paper airplanes around. I remember talking to him in health in seventh grade. I remember singing happy birthday in math in 6th grade. Shooting around a basketball in fitness. Him playing flute in the band. I just want to say that I know cole is in heaven and I'm praying for you and your family.

We remember Cole being a little guy running around the house on the hardwood floors and Amanda saying slow down Cole, be careful b4 u fall. Cole & Peyton...both little guys without a care in the world would play for hours together & laugh histerically and so hard together that we, the adults, would hear them laughing at each other and begin to laugh outloud ourselves from their laughter. Such pure innocence. Cole was such a bright happy boy. He was just as funny as he was kind giving. As a lil guy, Cole, would always share...toys, snacks more. Peyton & Cole were always happy together. They made sure others were smiling & happy too right along with them. Even on days Cole wad sick & not feeling great...he never let anything...even his illness stop him from smiling 2 make others feel comforted & welcome. Cole was a truly GOOD Spirit but he 4 sure got learned most of his warm, kind, loving & welcoming traits directly from his mom, Amanda...who has the same inner spirit & soul as Cole. She gave Cole a wondetful life & he knew 4 CERTAIN, that he Was/Is loved. He surely will be missed so much. Cole had the biggest heart of any kid I've ever met. Peyton loved going 2 Cole's house to play or meeting @ the park 2 see Cole. Everyone who knew Cole, at any age, felt the same. My heart is heavy with sorrow & breaks in pieces for his Momma! I know how the sayings go..."That the good die young" & "That God must have needed Cole for something greater" & that "God has His own specal plan & journey for Cole's Spirit" and I understand. I am a believer & know that Cole IS in the most special & wonderful place ever...However, I still just don't think it's fair, not fair at all. Especially when then cycle of life gets shifted bc a parent shouldn't ever have 2 bury their baby. For certain when they're so young.   I have just learned of Cole's passing and am so very sorry and saddened. HMS loved Cole and will miss him. He stopped by the office on his way out for the holiday break to "remind" me of his birthday and I wished him a very happy one! He was a special young man.   My Beloved Son, you have passed on to Our Heavenly Fathers Celestial Kingdom but you are not forgotten. Our family will make sure your gravesite is maintained & blessed upon to keep paying our respects to your purified soul where you were resurrected. My most recent memory is going to Kanki for your birthday. Then, when we drove under that vivid double rainbow on Thanksgiving Day & we spoke of what type of wishes we could gain for being so lucky to drive right under it. That was the 4th double rainbow we saw together but the first one so bright/vivid and we were able to drive under it. Your love for St. Patricks day made that moment even greater for you, it was sureal for both of us. The Hot Air Ballon festival & lighting of the Ballons, getting to watch the joy on your face. Everytime you experienced something new it was the greatest pleasure & best times of my life. Just like the times you spent on the boat. I believe thats one of the greatest experiences of being a parent is seeing the expressions & how your child is learning , taking it all in gives you joy; it's the same feeling we get on holidays seeing the happiness on your face. As a baby I sang lullabys to you we had one of our own then your other favorite was; James Taylor to you, "You got a friend" & "Fire & Rain" this happened to be sometime later the first concert we took you to. I've been praying to God everyday for strength & it's been my only solace. You & I went through so much together and we still managed to rise above it & keep smiles on our faces. You were not only my son but my best friend. I still catch myself(as do others) saying "we" & who cares. You were my everything, always my #1 priority before myself even because that's what moms do.   I don't know if you'll see this and I apologize that it is so late but there is something that you should know. Since Cole was a member of the band in 6th grade, and his class is having their last concert tomorrow, I thought we should do something special for him. We are playing a piece, the Chorale from Jupiter at our concert. I asked the other band students and the teacher if we could dedicate Jupiter to Cole. Everyone agreed and thought that it was a great idea, because most of us were in band with him or on his track like me, and some of us went to elementary school with him too. I think that that shows that we all cared about him and miss him. I am sorry that you are only becoming aware of this now, if you do see it, but the numbers in the front office that Mrs. Mccaskill and Mr Graves tried to contact you by were out of date. I just wanted to let you know that we all miss Cole and the whole band thought that we should do this for him. Tomorrow evening at around 7, we will be performing Jupiter in remembrance of your wonderful son Cole.
