Mr. Gregory Vincent Lynch, Sr., 91, of Raleigh, NC, passed away suddenly on August 6, 2023. He was the son of the late John Lynch and Sophia Klonoski. Greg was born November 29, 1931, in Waterbury, CT. After serving in the U.S. Airforce, he went on to receive a Physics degree from Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT, a MBA from Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY and his Real Estate Broker License in Raleigh, NC.

He married his beloved wife, Zora Kennedy on September 12, 1957. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. They enjoyed traveling for many years.

Greg was a caring, gracious, and generous husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many. An avid golfer, Greg created many fond memories with his North Ridge Country Club friends and celebrating his 70th birthday golfing in Ireland with his sons. He will always be remembered for an infectious sense of humor and a generous smile.

During his 21-year career with IBM and throughout his retirement, Greg built an impressive investment and real estate portfolio, to include the Lake Gaston Americamps Campground and RV Resort.

He is survived by his spouse, Zora and his two sons Jeffrey of Raleigh, NC, and Gregory Jr. of Houston, TX, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Karpati and grandsons Zachary and Aidan Lynch also of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his sister Bernadette Stemm and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Carrie, his brothers Jack and Frank, and his sister Darlene Leheny.

A private service will be held at St. Rafael’s Catholic Church, Raleigh, NC. Arrangements for a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
