Obituary For Gloria Libera LaTorre

Gloria Libera LaTorre, age 88, passed away on October 9th, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1936 to Pasquale and Annunziata Generoso. Gloria received her Associate's Degree from Suffolk Community College, and also attended Queens College.

She was very active in the Right to Life chapters of Raleigh and New York, a member of the Raleigh Columbiettes, a member of The Woman's Club of Raleigh, Assistant Scout Master, Active in the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion, and a church member of St. Francis of Assisi in Raleigh. She also worked for HealthTrax in the nursery. She was a published author and poet, and wrote From Near and Beyond.

Gloria was preceded in death by her son Richard, and her siblings, Susan, Anna, and Vincent. She is survived by her husband, John to whom she was married for 69 years; her son, Scott; her many nieces, nephews; and her granddaughter.

A Visitation beginning at 10:00 am and Funeral Mass at 11:00am will be held on October 24, 2024, at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 11401 Leesville Road, Raleigh.
