Obituary For Glen Ward Gordon

Glen passed away on Thursday August 20, 2015 at his home in Raleigh. Glen was born in Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from Purdue University with a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics. He received a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, also from Purdue. He was employed at Bell Labs, receiving a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff award, and at Tandem Computers for many years. He is survived by his wife, Judith, and his sons, Mark and Bradley, who were his pride and joy. Visitation and memorial will be on Thursday, August 27 at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC. Visitation from 1 to 5, followed by the memorial at 5. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Savinggracenc.org, Safehavenforcats.org or other charity of your choice.

    Glen was my uncle. I never got the chance to know him well, but he had an amazing Star Trek collection and because of that I got hooked. I wish I'd had the chance to see him before this.

    Mrs. Gordon, I am so sorry to know about Glen's passing away and for yours, Mark's and Bradley's loss. I will always keep a loving memory of Glen. He was a dear friend. I admired his character and intelligence. May God comfort and strengthen you and the boys. Will keep you in my prayers.
