Gladys F. Markey, age 89, of Raleigh, NC passed away on May 10, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Sharkey Thompson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter.

Gladys was born and lived in Roselle Park NJ and worked as a bookkeeper. She retired to Raleigh, NC where she lived with her son Michael, daughter in law Pat, and their two children as well as her dog, Dale.

Gladys will always be known as the “Best Grammy Ever”.

Gladys is survived by, and will be missed by her two sons Michael (Pat), and David (Marie); sister, Joan of Peabody, MA; and four grandchildren, Kathleen, Colleen, Christopher and James.
