Obituary For Geraldine Lynn Warren

Geraldine (Deany) Lynn Warren (Stock), 70, of Raleigh, NC passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Duke Raleigh Hospital, Raleigh NC.

She was born in Johnston, New York on March 3, 1949, daughter of the late Richard and Nina Stock.

Deany was the loving wife of the late John Howard Warren, Air Force Veteran, for 37 years and remained faithfully married to him after his passing. They would have celebrated 52 years of marriage. They enjoyed traveling and visiting numerous beaches, golf courses, historic sites, and theme parks around the country. Deany was a huge Elvis fan! One of their fondest trips was to Las Vegas where they renewed their wedding vows at the Hunka Hunka Burning Love Chapel.

Deany was the loving mother to two beautiful children -son, Johnny Daniel Warren, of Warrenton, VA married to Shelly Ann Warren and daughter, Regina Evette Lawrence, of Raleigh, NC, married to Christopher James Lawrence, Sr. Deany is also survived by 3 adored grandchildren -Sara Marie Warren, Warren Howard Lawrence, and Christopher James Lawrence, Jr.; siblings Eula (Debbie) Herrey, Marvin Stock, and Shirley VanAernam; as well as a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Deany is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Gerald Stock, Marilyn Stock, Robert Stock, and Richard Stock.

Deany’s love and devotion was not just limited to her family. She touched each life with the love of Christ and a tender, generous heart. After many years of happily being a home maker, she spent 20 years as an Office Manager in a medical facility. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crafting, soap operas, and Elvis. She loved to shop and continued following her passion to travel, remaining familiar with casinos and beaches. After an exciting life of travel with John in the military, she moved from Fairfax, VA to Charleston, SC which was their retirement dream. Many years later, she relocated to Raleigh, NC to be closer to family. Truly what made her the happiest at the end of every day was being with family.

A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Raphael Catholic Church Monday, July 8, 2019 at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass at the church. Immediately following the Mass, the family will host a Celebration of Deany's life at The Alyson Pond Clubhouse, located at 2817 Coxindale Dr. Raleigh, NC.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. http://main.acsevents.org/goto/geraldinewarren

Burial will be at Quantico National Cemetery where Deany will be laid to rest with John, July 10, 2019 at 2:00pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
